The shows for S/S 09 showed designers telling us to 'belt up'. The belt has been a key catwalk accessory for many seasons now, from skinnies to wide-waisted varieties, and cinching is key to Spring/Summer 09's silhouette.Whether it's on a dress or a novel way for tying a jacket, it's all about the belt. This time designers have looked to the Orient for inspiration.Basso & Brooke is the main catalyst for this trend. The designers showed beautifully crafted, bow-style obi belts in crazy colours.
