The predominantly black collection was accented with hot pink, turquoise, purple and silver flashes to create a sassy and hard hitting look.
In true eighties style, there were some fantastic polka dots and stripes that adorned cute little dresses, thrown over jeans, leather trousers and wet look leggings. The look was chic, workable and entirely uncomplicated.
Gorgeous androgynous suiting is one of Frida's key looks. There was a host of skinny cut suits, with jackets having very sculptured shoulders. These printed little blouses add a real feminine twist to such a boyish outfit.
Jumpsuits have been few and far between this fashion week, but they are back! I love Gucci's, relaxed, loose fit playsuits. Especially feeling the very shaggy coat on top. It is so Italian though! Can we get away with this look on this side of the pond?
Gorgeous purple hues have been EVERYWHERE! This jacket style dress is such a great twist on modern work wear. The suit styling says 'I mean business', but the fact that it's a dress shows a relaxed and funky side. Again fabulous Dynasty shoulders! There is no escape!
Embellishment again is a very key trend for A/W 09 and Gucci presented some super, sparkled up pieces. I am really fond of this 'Christmas tree' skirt. All the rich embellishment and texture, with the little bow really makes the model like a present and check out the shiny lurex threads running through everything!
