Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show . . . RESULTS

This was the final installment of THE FASHION SHOW!
There were trips down memory lane . . . Funniest moment was watching a series of clips between Issac Mizrahi and Merlin, with Kelly Rowland translating as Issca just couldn't understand Merlin's accent!

The judges choice was announced . . . Daniella Kallmeyer . . . winning $10,000 with Glenda Bailey of Harpers Bazaar promising to introduce her to some designers to work with.

The overall winner though was Anna with 56% of the vote, winning $125,000.

It was a fabulous series and the final three much deserved their places. Anna was a worthy winner, as Daniella's talent wa evident and her youth and exposure through this show will ensure she will go from strength to strength.

Lets close the chapter on this Fashion Show and await the next.

Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show 11

OMG this is too exciting!

Finally after 11 weeks the finale is here! The final fab four have had 10 weeks to create a collection of 10 pieces with the winner getting $125,000 and a selection of the collection sold on Bravotv.com.
Weirdly one contestant will be eliminated after the fashion show and wont face the public vote, which seams totally cruel! But that is what I have come to expect from Issac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland's show!

The first part was drama, drama, drama! With Reco's dresses being too tight and as usual his collection was OTT and costume like where as Daniella Kallmeyer and Anna did beautiful, luxury, wearable pieces. JP in my mind is in a world of his own. I don't see the creativity, I think he is just so up himself! All this 'I'm a designer, no one gets me' (boo hoo hoo!)

Anna's was the most commercial of the four, but I felt it was all a bit dowdy and frumpy and it all just felt like she re-made everything from the show in a new set of fabrics. Though there were some stand out pieces towards the end of it.

Daniella's rocked, as she made her accessories and her runway music! Im still humming it to myself! And as a frequent runway watcher, music can be a huge decider on the mood.

Well now the judges offer their two cents . . .

Poor Anna was slated for having a disjointed collection, while . . .

Daniella was praised for her sexy, androgynous collection but then again called a size-ist as she had the skinniest girls and even her leather pants were baggy!

Reco was told off by Fern for not giving the detail he had shown in earlier shows but congratulated on finally doing research! In fact it was Reco who got the judges arguing! Editor of Harpers told him his wedding dress was not good and way too theatrical, poor bloke got a rinsing!

JP was knocked for his last jacket and for his complicated looks, 'you need an instruction card to wear it!' But praised for being a consistency arty designer.

I love, love, love listening to them argue! Daniella is so London in her style and Issac praised her for having newness in her collection. Reco, JP and Anna all caused such hot debate, who doesn't like hearing people disagree!

Reco did not make the final 3, I'm pretty shocked, but actually his collection was to dramatic and wedding dressy for the runway!

It is now up to the American Public to choose the winner of THE FASHION SHOW!

Who will win?!!! I CAN'T WAIT!

Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show Week 9

OMG I have just finished watching this episode and I'm already desperate to see next weeks! I need it now!!!!

This week they had tarot card readings and had to use their reading and card as inspiration. This was task was pure and utter crap and saw Daniella create another boring, eighties stylee sheer shirt. Anna rocked the runway with her gorgeous print dress, while Jonny somehow escaped the bottow two with a childish look that was knocked up in vile lime and white tones.
Reco again was in the top two, although I still don't get his work, its boring, boring, boring!

Bottom two was Merlin and JP, a wise choice. JP so should've gone though, he has no idea what he is doing and could do with a few more years play before entering the big league. However it was Merlin that was shown the door.

Bye Bye Darling, we are just not buying it!

Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show Week 8

This week the fashion kids had to go back to the greats and create garments designed by the likes of Halston, Dior, Chanel and YSL.
Once the designers got over the fact that some, knew nothing about who Halston was, they got down to business.
Daniella really got the essence of Dior, while Anna didn't quite get Coco Chanel, her efforts were better than some of her counterparts.
On the other hand, this was the first real week where Reco fell flat on his face and boy did he fall hard. He had no idea about Halston and as one of the judges said, made a dress more suited to 'a village wench' than a 'catwalk!'
It came down to a disgraceful piece of suiting by Haven and a horrid dress by Reco and I feel, luckily, due to his track record, Reco survived, though we did see plenty of tears, which humanised the drama queen of the show! I can't wait for next week.
And Haven . . . Bye Bye darling, we are just NOT buying it!

Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show Week 7

OMG what a stressful, bitchy week!
The designers had to work in teams and whether this was scripted or not, lumping Reco and Daniella together was sheer brilliance! Loved every second, though I'm sure Reco and Daniella did not feel the same.
The task this week was to be inspired by Issac Mizrahi's mood board and boy were the results diverse! I loved the outfit Merlin and Jonny's team did, it was beautifully detailed and they so deserved to win, the fact that Haven and Co won was purely to do with the fact that their look was easier and cheaper to re-create and sell on Bravo.com

I was fairly shocked to see Reco and Daniella in the bottom set, but it was obvious Lydia was going, she has been stumbling more week on week and it was her time to go.
Daniella's trousers came in for a roasting, which was slightly unfair. It was a very London look and while I agree, the cape, hid the beautiful top Reco had done, I don't think his idea of a ball-gown was any better.

Oh well, roll on next week . . . Hopefully Daniella can pull it back together!

Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show Week 6

Why are Issac and Kelly SOOOOO MEAN! They go in, make the designers feel uncomfortable and mess with their confidence and then winge that they are not confident! They make the designers feel they are getting it wrong even when they aren't! They don't mentor they bash!
JP is so sweet, 'I want to help Angel because she is my friend' - Bless!

Having won the mini challenge - much to her rivals dismay, Daniella was safe from elimination, meanwhile Reco's face when he was not in the top two and it was in fact Merlin who won was priceless! Diva Strop!

In the end, Angel finally left, bye bye darling, we are just not buying it!

Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show Week 5

Designing for real women, the designers crumbled under the pressure! How size-ist are they! Daniella got a right bashing from Issac and quite rightly so!
There is no reason to panic people, non-skinnies have style too! This will show the real designers from the fashion luvvies!

Well Daniella pulled it off but I hated the way she felt she had done this poor 'chubby' woman a favour, like she had no feelings at all! They weren't desperate people, they were helping you to win a show!

With Daniella winning this challenge its practically a two horse race now between Daniella and Reco. Having won both challenges, Daniella got to choose someone to go up for nomination! Shockingly she went for Angel and not Merlin!

Keith - Sorry Darling, We are just not buying it!

Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show Week 4

Quick Fashion Show Roundup:

* This weeks challenge was inspired by shoes. The designers got to pick some fancy footwear and use it to inspire an outfit for this weeks runway show.

* Reco was his usual cocky self, finishing early and going for a nap, in between this he made an LBD and indulged in a bit of Daniella bullying. He is so cocky I simply await his fall from grace.

* The whole room bitched about Andrew and how he ripped off the pleating from a previous episode and designer. Yes, obviously, because pleats hadn't been invented!?!

* Daniella came up with a fabulous black and aubergine coloured dress with silver washers as surface decoration. It was divine and true to her own design aesthetic.

* Lidia's dress was hideous, 14 hours is not enough for her - I agree, 14 hours is only enough for Reco.

* The show was the best yet and Angel's shirt dress was surprisingly popular, i thought it was horrid.

* Reco one, while Angel and Daniella both were praised highly, while Andrew and Lidia were in the bottom two.

* Sorry Andrew we are just not buying it, bye bye darling!

Roving Reporter . . . The Fashion Show Week 3

Part One: Setting the Scene:
Another week, another episode. Slowly the poor designers are being cut down and slung out and the stronger players are coming to the forefront. It's taken me a while to get to grips with who I'm loving and who I'm, in the words of Issac Mizrahi 'Just not buying'.

JP is definitely being under-estimated, there is something very London about his ideas. Always creative and thinking outside the box, even the judges constantly assume he is not going to cut it, only to find that he wows at the shows.

Reco is getting on my nerves! Seriously there is confidence, then there is cocky. He is bashing his team mates and becoming too controlling, he shouldn't of cut their patterns for them, let them work on their own, as you will see it didn't make him the winner anyway. Yes he is good and yes the judges and the audience like his design, but the whole 'it's so wrong for one man to be this talented' is just bull! I have watched many a new designer in my time and quite frankly he just isn't that impressive. If he really was that good he wouldn't need the fashion show to make it. After all, London designers are constantly working without money.

Daniella, she is still where my loyalties lie, but I just wish she would put her claws away fora little bit. Though sometimes with good reason, she needs to become a bit more of a team player especially in the early stages! - Still the best designer there though.

Part Three: The Show:

When facing the judges, surely you should put a guard on what you say! Daniella's team won, the correct decision I thought as the whole collection was cohesive and delicious but when she told the judges that Andrew's design was her idea I nearly died! Head designers are constantly feeding ideas to their workers and taking no credit, she should've just relished in the fact that she was a strong leader who got her team to win, but I think her reaction is purely to do with age and she hasn't got to that point where she can just let it go! However that move will not in-dear her to her fellow contestants and in the early stages you need friends as well as competition!

Two Losers - only one elimination!

Haven - Why dig a whole for yourself! - Having said that I didn't hate the design that much.

Markus - You can't sew, which Fashion School did you go to?
Both very poor pieces!
