Roving Reporter : Jasper Conran

I didn't expect to like this collection, but in fact I actually LOVED it.

Influenced by a mixture of Parisian chic (think beautiful girls, red lipstick, saucy but totally sophisticated negligee), Matadors (think capes, ruffles and blouses with pencil skirts), 40's Military (button detailing, long coats, trenches), Film Noir (dark, mysterious, smokey).

Well there we go I just summed it up!

Seriously though, Jasper presented the most stunning collection of chiffon, organza, silk and lace pieces that borrowed from a serious underwear vibe. There was plenty of boning and corset detailing that was simple divine! Blouses were often so sheer that only the multi, tiny ruffles used as shirt detailing protected the models modesty!
Conran banned trousers and his all black collection concentrated on structured pencil skirts, beautiful dresses that had both body con and voluminous varieties and some of the best outerwear seen this season!

I loved the coats!
Wool trenches, both full and mini cropped ones! The mini ones had great trench detailing, while the double breasted ones had gorgeous military style buttons. There were also lush Spanish style, frill covered capes! Oh and the best biker jacket ever!

Oh and it is sooooo all about the skirt suit this season folks, tuck those trousers away, wax your legs and heel up, the hour glass is back!

This all black collection definitely hit the nail on the head I was wowed by every single piece!

Seen and Overheard: Models Unite

Sometimes it's surprisingly hard to find Lily Cole at London Fashion Week (maybe she's off on more French Playboy shoots), but luckily enough, we've spotted her with a handful of other big-name models of all generations.

Lily Cole modeled in the Qasimi show today, with Erin O'Connor opening and Jaquetta Wheeler and Jasmine Guinness walking later. Even Yasmin Le Bon took a surprise turn on the runway, with hubby Simon watching front-row.

But none of the girls got as big of a cheer as Carmen Dell'Orifice, the legendary model who still sparkles at 70+. The Harry Winstons on her neck didn't hurt...
